Manager, Brand Partnerships

NEW YORK /SALES /FULL-TIME

As a Brand Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for prospecting for new business, managing existing accounts, growing business, conceptualizing, developing and packaging new programs for clients. This hybrid “sales” + marketing role will primarily be focused on growing business in the beauty, fragrance and CPG categories, leveraging their existing relationships and pre-established contacts to drive growth in these verticals. This person will work closely with the editorial and creative teams at Coveteur, proactively bring partnership opportunities to fruition, and guide them through pitch, sale, production, execution and optimization. The Manager will ensure client objectives are closely considered and KPIs evaluated prior to pitches, and that our team delivers best-in-class proposals and pitches. This position reports to the Head of Sales & Brand Partnerships.

Role & Description

    • Leverage extensive scope and depth of contacts in the Beauty, Fragrance and CPG categories at both the client and agency sides. secure top-to-top meetings with client and agency stakeholders.

    • Provide value across media platforms, including fresh + innovative branded content concepts and nuanced multi-platform partnerships to meet client objectives

    • Analyze client O&O channels + communications to identify opportunities to partner with Coveteur

    • Utilize digital marketing experience to exceed client KPIs, manage expectations and guarantee renewals on partnerships

    • Create value ‘on-the-fly’ in client/agency meetings, generating excitement and a desire to partner with us, vs. transactional selling

    • Prospect, pitch, and conceptualize multi-platform partnerships with advertisers across various categories of business with a primary focus on the beauty category (Luxury Beauty, Fragrance, & CPG).

    • Have a keen ability to identify prospects, key client stakeholders and nurture profitable partnerships

    • Schedule & attend 6+ sales calls (or video meetings) per week for new business

    • Attend 4+ sales calls (or video meetings) per week for existing business/client management

    • Proactively prospect for new business daily

    • Meet or exceed target revenue per year (note: targets are subject to change).

    • Build and deliver proactive programs, sell sheets/presentations for new client leads

    • Work closely with Head of Sales, Account Manager, Marketing Manager, and Production on budgets.

    • Maintain consistent contact with internal teams on program production, execution and optimization to ensure that all advertiser programs meet/exceed client expectations.

    • Act as lead sales representative for Coveteur across client & agency counterparts.

    • Source new partnerships via new outreach strategies, maintain existing relationships across both endemic and non-endemic beauty accounts or developing verticals.

Requirements

    • 4+ years of experience in digital marketing, sales, or client services

    • Self-motivated and autonomous work ethic

    • Marketing mindset w/an urgency to close business

    • Proven ability to conceptualize and monetize branded content partnerships

    • Understanding of the production process, including costs and timeframes

    • Existing client relationships in the beauty vertical.

    • Expert proficiency in digital media, advertising, social media and marketing trends

    • Knowledge and experience with luxury beauty, fragrance and CPG brands

    • Demonstrated experience conceiving and proposing creative marketing ideas, bringing together custom content, advertising, social media, video, experiential

    • Keynote + PPT savvy

    • Proactive, self-motivated and eager to work in a fast-growing start-up environment
