Design Assistant, Color

The Design Assistant for Color will report into and assist the Design Lead in the day to day activities of color. You will support the creation of the seasonal color palette, support attributing color to style, track  and approve lab dips, and communicate with a variety of cross functional partners.

Your day-to-day:

• Support Design Lead in the tracking and receiving of all lab dips on a seasonal basis

• Maintain accurate records that update and manage color data system

• Order and receive color standards on a seasonal basis

• Proficient in following direction in a timely manner, with high accuracy, and adhering to calendar deadlines

• Understand color feasibility and educate cross functional partners regarding limitations; build understanding of how materials will finish and execute color.

• Create and maintain visual line sheets across all product lines with a high level of accuracy

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Design, Product Development, R+D, Merchandising

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Degree in fashion, textiles, art or other creative field; previous experience working at a fashion brand preferred but not required

• Passion for all things related to color and a curiosity to build a working knowledge in this specialist field

• Working knowledge of textile fabrics and yarns

• Must be extremely organized, have a great attention to detail, and can multitask

• Superior score on Munsell Hue Test

• High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
