JOB SUMMARY
Strategic oversight and General Management of the Tory Burch Fragrance and Beauty business. Responsible for strategy and partnership through to execution across DTC and partner channels globally. Partner with brand founder in collaboration with VP Licensing and key creative leaders in order to drive innovative and successful brand relaunch. Leverage fragrance and beauty expertise to support go to market strategies across critical retail channels.
JOB DESCRIPTION
General Management
Accountability to Licensing P&L and DTC contribution
Key liaison with category partners across commercial and creative teams on both strategic and day to day topics
Category leader with key internal partnerships across Design, Creative, Marketing and PR, as well as Regional and Channel leaders
In collaboration with regional leaders, optimize global distribution across DTC and partner channels through commercial and VM strategies
In collaboration with marketing, commercial, and creative leaders, drive exposure strategies that optimize brand and commercial impact
Creative & Merchandising
Work with founder, brand executives, and licensee to inform and articulate TB product and positioning strategy that supports brand, category, and commercial goals.
Own the PD process through development meetings, direction feedback and approvals, through to launch.
Manage and drive PD and asset creation development process across all touchpoints.
Partner with cross functional teams to project manage deliverables.
Share trend and innovation research to outline and validate brand opportunities in collaboration with category partner
Interface with TB divisional and partner marketing/PR and creative services teams to inform, align, and guide marketing and PR goals and plans to optimize the category through to approval
Reinforce assortment guidelines, merchandising directives, facilitate assortment reviews across key channels of business
Commercial:
Monitor and analyze financial metrics, performance, and competitive landscape; identify challenges/opportunities and provide business updates with actionable recommendations
Engage with cross-functional partners on special projects as needed
Monitor adherence to contractual obligations
Maintain critical category records (i.e. approvals, directives, financial)
Create presentations for partner and internal executive meetings
Qualifications:
10-15 years – Fragrance and beauty product, commercial and brand management, Licensing
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to interface with all levels of management.
Excellent fragrance and beauty product sensibility and global market awareness
Creative with an eye for trend and innovation
Ability to project manage complex projects and launches with multiple cross functional partners.
Strong analytical skills.
Self-starter and problem solver - strong sense of urgency and initiative.
Ability to multi task in fast environment
Diplomacy and sensitivity in communications
Strong Power Point, Excel, Word skills; Adobe Suite knowledge beneficial
Bachelor’s degree or requisite experience
