Senior Director of Engineering

Description

This is a new role that reports in to the Chief Product Officer, and looks after the tech team. You'll partner with the Senior Director of Product to help evolve our technology platform. Part of our long-term vision is the creation of a platform that transcends the barriers to entry for many entrepreneurs in fashion. Our intent is to make a career in personal shopping accessible to anyone with passion for luxury. We will do this using data science, and technology to provide the tools and physical operations to anyone, anywhere in the world to work at any time. We will do this by having the most technologically advanced platform and intuitive technology that helps our shoppers provide unrivalled customer service.

Requirements

You Will:

  • Develop the technology team through a nurturing and transformational leadership style

  • Provide guidance to the engineering manager and technical leads who report to you

  • Develop cross functional squads and coach them to achieve our OKRs

  • Provide technical direction and solutions that are appropriate for the size of the challenges

  • Collaborate with product management team to bring together disparate systems in to a coherent platform to help us deliver on our mission


You Have:

  • Worked with social or e-commerce back office technical solutions

  • Experience setting up and gaining support for new processes and technologies

  • Technical expertise gained in e-commerce or social media companies

  • Experience identifying what solutions to build, buy or partner on

  • Worked in an early growth stage product organisation embedding technology processes
