Senior Director, IT Architecture and Engineering

JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible for the long term technology roadmap planning, architecture, design, implementation, and day-to-day administrative support of backend IT Infrastructure services to the Tory Burch Global Retail and Corporate businesses. These services include, but are not restricted to: cloud, server, storage, database, messaging, directory services, network, firewall, voice, video, remote access services collaboration tools, and ERP infrastructure services. The role will collaborate heavily with Enterprise & Retail Applications, Security & Data Privacy, and Digital IT Leadership to ensure business functionality and technology alignment as well as superb service delivery and support in an efficient and cost effective manner. The position will own, direct and manage via their team, new project implementations and ongoing services.
The person in this role must have deep and sound technical capabilities across many infrastructure disciplines. They must have a broad experience in managing both on premise and outsourced systems and must have a strong understanding of the business, strong relationship building skills, effective leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
This position reports to the VP of Global IT Infrastructure and Shared Services and manages a total team size of 12-15 (FTE and contract).
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities:
Create and execute the 2-3 year infrastructure technology roadmap and architecture
Responsible for detailed design and configuration of new infrastructure services/projects
Oversee new system implementation and delivery
Deliver the day-to-day management of existing backend infrastructure services
Ownership of Tier 2/3 Incident, problem and change management for the backend IT Infrastructure
Provides subject matter expertise for IT projects and initiatives
Collaborates with IT and Business Leadership in the planning and implementation of technology solutions.
Develop and test a consistent, reusable disaster recovery process for the delivered IT services.
Manage and develop a high quality architecture and infrastructure team
Deliver reporting on SLA achievement and infrastructure status
Creates and uphold Standard Operating Procedures and documentation
Ensure appropriate capacity and performance planning for the infrastructure to maintain and accelerate global business growth
Develop and publish metrics for operational, planning, and forecasting purposes
Experience:
8+ years experience in IT management
12+ years Experience in IT Systems Delivery
12+ years Experience in Microsoft O365 & Azure, Google Cloud and Cisco technologies
Experience with SAP Hosting/Basis
Experience in the Retail industry a plus
Experience in managing multiple projects and support functions
Bachelor Degree in Business or Technical Discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
