Manager, SAP Systems

JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day support of SAP Systems, Basis efforts and managed service provider for the Tory Burch Global Retail and Corporate businesses. The role acts as point person for SAP infrastructure service delivery and must collaborate heavily with architecture, third party providers, international operations and service delivery teams as well as the applications teams. The position manages the health of all SAP supportive mechanisms to ensure high performance access and availability to SAP business applications and services. This role will be a key contributor within a collaborative team environment and a strong service-oriented culture.
The person in this role must have good technical capabilities across SAP and Cloud Hosting disciplines. Google Cloud Platform, HANA, Fiori, CAR, and S4 experience is a plus. This person must have a strong understanding of the business, strong relationship building skills, effective leadership skills and excellent communication skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will have three key areas of responsibility:
Ability to manage the implementation, configuration, monitoring, and support the Company's SAP landscape.
Responsible for all aspects of the SAP technical architecture, application optimization and process enforcement to provide a secure, reliable and acceptable application performance across the SAP and associated bolt-on application footprint.
Provides subject matter expertise for SAP Project and initiatives
Creates and uphold standard operating procedures and documentation
Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets and monitoring expenses
Responsible for SAP systems design, implementation and delivery
Responsible for day-to-day management of global SAP availability
Maintains standardized operational process and measurement criteria to track and manage highly reliable and resilient SAP infrastructure
Develops and maintains relationships with delivery partners
Work closely with Managed Services Provider and Business Partners.
Oversees a portfolio of projects and is responsible for the quality of the delivery of scope, schedule, and budget.
Serves as the primary liaison for SAP portfolio of projects like Implementation, Hardware/ Software Upgrade, Roll-Out and Enhancements with vendors and application owners.
Providing assisting other groups in problem resolution
Drives continuous improvement initiatives
Mediates when problems arise and manage the contractual aspects of the services
Implements and enforces use of change management tools and process. Manages customer expectations on troubleshooting and break-fix services across the entire technology stack of applications and infrastructure
Continue knowledge assessment and education of SAP releases and functionality coordinating cross-functional and across-application work teams
Lead overall SAP technical governance in partnership with functional teams and the SAP managed service provider
Continually assess the impact of emerging SAP technologies against strategic business needs and interpret business value for the leadership team in a consultative capacity
Own Executive level communication and interaction including consulting, and translating tower needs and strategies into achievable and sustainable technical architectures
Demonstrate forward thinking to identify key trends, understand the business’ strategies and develop and deliver solutions and content that meet business needs and latest trends
Drive the vision, strategy, roadmap and implementation of performance indicators and supporting metrics and trends for SAP solution
Seek out continuous improvement opportunities and provide input and recommendations

Stay up to date on current technology trends
Proven ability to lead and facilitate workshops and to identify business requirements
Ability to manage and deliver multiple priorities in a constrained timeline
Strong problem solver with the ability to analyze cause and effect relationships
Proactively propose alternate solutions to the business as and when needed
Showcase ownership to resolve / coordinate issues within SLA
Excellent Oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and personal skills to successfully communicate with internal and external customers
Self-driven, motivated and results orientated
Strong listening skills and solution orientated approach to problem management
EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
8-10 years’ experience in functional operational of various SAP modules and SAP management
Retail industry, manufacturing and/or logistics related to SAP experience is a plus
Experience in managing multiple projects and support functions
Bachelor Degree in Business or Technical Discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Managing Basis teams, SAP Applications, S4/HANA experience and exposure a plus
Managing Open Text, Archiving S4, CAR, GCP, Enterprise Portal, and ECC
Experience managing onshore and offshore resources
Experience managing a managed services provider
Experience with cloud technologies and cloud architectures
