Overview

The Manager of Global Consumer Insights and Analytics will join a high performing Global Marketing team at one of the world’s most iconic and innovative luxury brands, Tiffany & Co., at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. The Insights team is instrumental in fulfilling the brand’s strategic vision; by bringing the consumer to life for the organization, this team imparts a rigorous, consumer-centric focus to drive business growth.

This role will report to the Director of Global Consumer Insights. The Manager will aid in shaping and evolving consumer facing research at Tiffany by exploring a growing number of opportunities to connect with luxury consumers through research initiatives. By owning research initiatives meant to influence business strategy, the Manager of Global Consumer Insights and Analytics has the opportunity to develop into a critical player for the organization.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in managing the creation and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies (from study inception/logistics/design to communication of results).

    • This includes interpreting business needs that drive study creation, writing questionnaires/screeners/discussion guides, analyzing raw data, crafting reports from scratch and effectively communicating results to various stakeholders.

  • Maintain strong day-to-day project management of key foundational studies: Brand Tracking, Consumer Segmentation, Digital Commerce VoC, Creative Ad Testing and UX Testing.

  • Manage outside vendors and third parties to maximize learning and value from projects while delivering insights quickly and accurately.

  • Collaborate effectively with key cross-functional partners (within Marketing, Merchandising, Regional Partners, Digital Commerce) to define hypothesis, gather support, communicate results and build actionability.

  • Retain strong luxury/jewelry/consumer lifestyle business acumen comprised of both proprietary research findings as well as broader category knowledge gleaned from third party sources.

  • Synthesize data across multiple sources to present holistic analyses.

  • Utilize compelling storytelling (backed by data) to serve as advocate for the consumer across the organization.

Qualifications and skills

  • 5+ years of experience in an Insights and/or Consumer Research role

  • 7+ years of work experience: Corporate retail and/or luxury-based organization preferred but other consumer/customer focused industry roles also considered

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team

  • Experience across a range of consumer research methodologies (strong mix of both quantitative and qualitative).

  • Strong proficiency with Brand Equity Tracking, Consumer Segmentation, Creative Ad Testing, UX Testing, VoC/Client Experience, and Consumer Journey Mapping.

  • Robust experience managing and reporting on large quantitative and qualitative datasets.

  • Strong project management experience; organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

  • Outstanding ability to craft and tell compelling stories with data and insights.

  • Ability to be strategic as well as dive into the data to answer research and business questions.

  • Self-starter who shows passion, eagerness, a high level of intellectual curiosity and a “get-it-done”, results-driven mentality.

  • Ability to work within strict time constraints while handling a heavy workload with competing priorities.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and solving complex business problems; ability and flexibility to adapt in a variety of situations and to be a nimble thinker/doer.

  • Experience working with both large cross-functional teams and independently

  • Experience managing external research partners/vendors

  • BA/BS required, MS/MA/MBA preferred

  • Advanced Qualtrics, Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required
