JOB SUMMARY
The goal of this Planning function is to set up all relevant processes and drive the business (Revenue, EBIT) through strategic merchandise planning, controlled inventory management, actionable reporting, and insightful commercial analysis. We achieve this by creating a world class, digitally enabled integrated end to end planning team, which is commercial, connects well cross functionally and delivers efficient merchandise processes.
The Senior Manager International Planning will provide leadership and direction to the regional planning/allocation teams for all International deliverables. This role is responsible to review and consolidate pre-season plans and monthly forecasts. The Sr. Manager will review monthly inventory levels and communicate risk/opportunities to the Sr. Director of International Planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a leader of the planning function to drive and deliver sustainable, profitable growth for the region.
Liaise with a team of +10 with most of the team located in the regional offices, develop and drive collaboration, proper structure, and processes to maximize team productivity and results
Drive financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals and minimize excess inventory.
Responsible to review regional pre-season plans and monthly forecasts with focus on receipt flow and ensure that available inventory meets open to buy strategy and maximizes cash flow
Influence regional flow strategies to ensure major international holidays are protected
Direct and manage International promotional calendar
Recommend and guide execution of global inventory liquidation strategies (seasonal markdown)
Improve and implement reporting and analysis capabilities to drive decision making at the regional level.
Standardized analysis and reporting among international business units to provide consolidated and consistent view of regional performance.
Collaborate with Global Merchandise Planning and Finance to reconcile planning forecast to financial forecasts by channel and develop strategies to amplify and/or address opportunities
Collaborate extensively with corporate partners to execute business strategies, define, and drive business process and overall change management.
People Development
Ensure high performance standards thru Coaching, training, and development. Perform ongoing talent assessments.
Provide Leadership and guidance. Develop team members skills and ensure goals are achieved

EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Bachelor's degree,
5 – 8 years prior experience in retail planning & allocation
Vertical retail experience
Strong leadership skills, executive presence, and acumen
Strong analytical skills paired with strategic business acumen and application
Detail-oriented, results-driven, highly, motivated, and entrepreneurial. Ability to act as both a “player” and a “coach”
Ability to negotiate with and influence peers, members of a cross-functional team and senior management.
Ability to formally present business strategies and action plans.
