ADVERTISING MANAGER
The Advertising Manager manages the development of seasonal creative content, and high impact multi-channel campaigns. They partner with Marketing, Creative, and Production teams to build assets that represent the business needs in The Americas. This role manages the process of briefing, concept development, pre-production, style out, fitting, shoot production, post production, and asset distribution. Additionally, they manage brand related Advertising in media, ensuring that brand positioning is communicated consistently, across all channels. The Advertising team also collaborates closely with the Global Content team, and an external creative agency to support global alignment, while considering regional nuances.
Responsibilities:
Pre Production & Shoot Production
Gather business needs from NA marketing teams (Wholesale, Company Stores, Adaptive, Licensee)
Partner with Global Content team to align on strategy and build cohesive content approach
Consolidate various divisional needs into one project brief when applicable
Collaborate with key internal departments to align on strategy, budget, and execution efficiencies that contribute to overall regional marketing goals
Build project budget, shot list, deliverables, and calendar recommendation
Brief Production and Creative teams
Partner with producers to develop project plan, including leadership approvals on concept elements (including talent, crew, location/sets)
Liase with marketing and licensee product divisions to help teams with sample coordination
Manage Style Out - oversee look boards with consistent review of deliverables
Manage Fittings - ensure balanced talent assignment to looks, considering end use of assets
Manage Photo Shoots - track content to ensure accurate approved looks and deliverables are captured effectively (including on figure, stills, video, social)
Coordinate shipping / messenger of product between divisions and shoot location – may require completing commercial invoices for international shipments/customs, photographing samples, packing samples
Post Production
Ensure timely creative select presentations and approvals
Maintain post production timelines - track daily updates from agency/producers and monitor internal schedules
Share each round of working assets with marketing teams for feedback (image retouching, video editing, guideline development)
Messenger proofs, samples, and hard drives between offices and agencies to ensure strongest creative output with attention to detail
Download and organize assets to Advertising server for storage maintenance
Upload assets to Brand Portal to allow easy access/trafficking of all file types
Field asset inquiries that cross functional teams have throughout the season
Develop asset overviews for NA campaigns
Partner with Content team to streamline broader seasonal content email communication
Process and track invoices for submission to finance to reconcile budgets
Cross reference finance monthly reconciliation recaps with charges in financial tracker
Liase with Global Content team to clarify questions on global campaigns as needed
Media
Prepare credit documents - gather campaign style and buy information and use this to optimize the creative output into market
Partner closely with Media and Creative teams on content implementation
Consistently share updates on asset release timings and deadlines
Organize mechanical reviews with media team, and color reviews with agency
Optimize social and digital content by working with cross functional teams to strategically target and support each business
Keep modern media consumption at forefront of planning
Management
Manage advertising team member and provide meaningful lean-in leadership, guidance, and coaching
Oversee seasonal intern by hiring, training and assigning projects to candidates with team
Qualifications:
College degree
5-8+ years of related experience; fashion industry experience, preferred; management experience, preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Strong project management/time management skills
High attention to detail, and great organizational skills
Ability to think strategically and implement tactically
Flexible to adapt to changing business needs
Maintain proactive approach by anticipating future actions that may be required and predict impact of decisions
Ability to multi task and handle several projects at once, with adherence to deadlines
Strong understanding of modern media consumption, with focus on digital first advertising
MAC skills including MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, Keynote
Sets objectives for self and others and delivers results that impacts the organization
Provide input to making changes to processes, product, or programs
