Public Relations and Marketing Manager

PRABAL GURUNG, a luxury fashion house based in New York, is seeking a highly motivated Public Relations and Marketing Manager / Director. The role will support all company public relations, marketing and branding initiatives by effectively communicating and driving brand awareness through all media channels and identifying key opportunities for continuous brand growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Manage all global public relations, marketing, social media, and special projects reporting directly to the Founder & CEO, and the COOEngage in proactive pitching efforts to long and short lead media for brand inclusion and secure credits in top tier outletsCoordinate all high level feature opportunities for Prabal GurungDevelop and implement global press & VIP strategies to support brand storytelling and generate awareness of brand projects for ready-to-wear, bridal, menswear, and Atelier Prabal GurungOversee the coordination of clothing & accessories samples for photo shoots, celebrity dressing, and internal needs - manage large inventory of clothing & accessoriesManage the complete production of two annual runway shows and pre-collections lookbook shoots including overseeing vendors, securing locations and sponsors, and overall creative directionIdeate and execute brand programming such as special events, digital video series, dinners and moreManage all VIP & influencer relations for the brand, including working with VIP stylists on red carpet dressingCultivate and maintain strong relationships across all media outlets and with stylists, publicists and VIPS / influencersSchedule and conduct pre-collection and runway show appointments with key pressWork with the COO to develop a new business development strategy and target special projects and partnership opportunitiesManage all brand social media accounts across all brand verticals, oversee and generate content and understand engagement and analytics Act as brand voice, both in writing press materials and representing the brand at industry events Oversee high level branding initiatives, including the creation of brand books and other branding collateralExecute brand participation in key fashion industry events Guide brand social responsibility and sustainability effortsWork with sales team to support retail initiatives Maintain and regulate Company branding guidelines with all internal and external materialsOversee the maintenance of company organization on team calendars, files, as well as contacts on LaunchmetricsCreate and distribute bi-monthly press reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in public relations with a fashion focus either in house or at an agency4 year college degreeComputer skills: Proficient in LaunchMetrics & Photoshop, MailChimp, and Shopify - experience with MS Office: Word, Excel and Powerpoint is requiredExcellent understanding of social media platforms, trends, and content calendarsUnderstanding of social media landscape and best practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSuperior time management skills, with an ability to work quickly and efficiently, and to prioritize and multi-taskAbility to work well within a team and manageStrong attention to detail & highly organizedEnthusiasm for fashion, art, culture and tapped into industry news and media landscapeDeep understanding of the cultural and political landscapeUnderstanding of influencers and appropriate brand target
