• JOB SUMMARY

  The Associate Designer, Fashion Sneakers is responsible for collaborating with the Design Director and peers in the creative process, development, and maintenance of footwear designs (specifically sneakers) from concept through production. The candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities. They must be passionate about the product and have an elevated aesthetic to match the Tory Burch Brand.

  JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Help with creating seasonal design boards and keeping them up to date

  • Update sketches and boards as the development progresses

  • Collect, track and ensure all information is compiled and easily accessible related to each style

  • Sketch real size sketches and details construction by using illustrator for tech packs

  • Create and execute color cads using Photoshop and Illustrator

  • Assist in showroom samples alterations

  • Take notes on updates to design/sketch during meetings

  • Organize and keep work area clean

  • Prep samples and proto for review

  • Compile trend research and suggest designs in line with trends and Tory Burch brand

  • Special projects as assigned

  EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  • Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of footwear design experience working for a luxury retailer

  • Must provide digital portfolio of work

  • High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop and Microsoft office

  • Strong hand and Illustrator sketching & specing experience

  • Must be able to build all tech packs and pass specs in a detailed, organized and clear manner for factory proto sample making

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
