    The Associate Print Designer is responsible for executing the trends, themes, concepts, techniques and materials relevant to defining Print stories for Ready to Wear (RTW) for each season, based on direction from the Design Director.


     

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Alongside the Design Director, responsible for driving the development of seasonal print, pattern and graphics from market research and concept through to execution for line plans and special product launches.

    • Accurately create factory ready specs including: creating repeat tiles and color separating in Photoshop/Illustrator.

    • Balance multiple seasons at once & prioritize workloads according to calendar & seasonal timeline

    • Ensure that the print charts/walls/archives/boards in working order & up to date for all teams to use as a reference

    • Work closely with PD to partner on developing the product

    • Collaborate with other key cross-functional partners throughout the design process.

    EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED

    • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Fashion, Textiles or Surface Pattern Design

    • Minimum 3 years of relevant related design experience; some or all specific to print & textile design

    • Must provide digital portfolio of work

    • Knowledge of technical print design development techniques and commercialization

    • Strong computer knowledge including Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel.

    • Experience in PLM preferred

    • Ability to hand draw and paint in various mediums

    • Strong design and conceptual skills; strong sense of style, color and taste level.
