JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Designer, Runway Footwear will work under the direction of the Designer and Design Director, on the development, and maintenance of footwear designs from concept through production. The individual in this role must be highly organized, detail oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. They must be passionate and creative about product and possess an elevated aesthetic and eye for detail.
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES
Help build seasonal design boards and keep them up to date
Update sketches and boards as the development progresses
Collect, track and ensure all information is compiled and easily accessible related to each style
Assist building tech packs
Create and execute cads including seasonal deck using Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
Take notes in design/sketch meetings and capture all updates to designs
Prep samples and protos for review
Compile trend research and organize/up keep vintage and inspiration archive
Manage seasonal line sheets and PLM

Ability to work on multiple seasons at one time
EDUCATION & PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED
AA or Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent field
Minimum of 2 years of design experience working for a luxury retailer a plus but not required
High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Strong hand and Illustrator sketching skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Rhino or equivalent 3D rendering program experience is a plus
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Must provide digital portfolio of work
