JOB SUMMARY
Tory Burch is seeking a Head of User Experience (UX) to set product design strategy as well as understand and evolve digital customer journeys across our channels. This role requires a clear vision on the future of UX, balancing forward-thinking and innovative approaches with healthy pragmatism towards customer ease and simplicity. As our Head of UX, you will apply your passion for addressing customer needs, fueling the digital business, and your craft in UX design to guide design processes and create best-in-class experiences.
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver a UX vision against business and brand objectives, along with a roadmap to realize that vision
Drive a customer centric approach to UX that fosters a shared understanding of creative, business, and engineering requirements
Implement UX that is strategically aligned and well-informed by building strong partnerships across teams, including Creative, Product Management, Technology, and Digital
Lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices
Create conceptual diagrams, user flows, visual mockups and prototypes to communicate design strategies and interaction behaviors
Build design framework, architecture, prototypes, and specifications that are easily understood by the technology team for scalable development
Orchestrate user research and testing as needed for larger-scale digital initiatives
Perform competitive research to implement UX best practices while driving aspiration for a customer centric brand
Lead organizational approach of in-house or agency support model; provide direction for contract and/or agency resources
SKILLSET
8+ years of experience in UI/UX design
Passion for and understanding of fashion/luxury e-commerce, including best practices for mobile and web design as well as usability; relevant industry experience a plus
Ability to understand customer or business needs, translate them into actionable deliverables, and clearly articulate strategic rationale for design decisions
Exceptional attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities to effectively deliver on deliverables and deadlines
Comfort with ambiguity and working autonomously with little supervision
Mastery of design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Invision, AdobeXD
Deep understanding of systems thinking and component-based design patterns
Adeptness in quantitative research, proficiency in qualitative research
Knowledgeable in Design Thinking process + methodologies/frameworks
Experience working cross-functionally and synthesizing respective input with agility; gives and receives feedback well
Able to confidently present to and advise all levels across the organization, including executive leadership, in both written and verbal formats
